CHOCOLATE BANANA CHEESECAKE RECIPE
CHOCOLATE BANANA CHEESECAKE RECIPE

I baked this Chocolate Banana Cheesecake Recipe for my dearest husband. He's a huge fan of chocolate banana flavour, and I usually bake a Chocolate Banana Cake for him every year since we've been dating. So I decided to bake something new, but similar, for this year.

CHOCOLATE BANANA CHEESECAKE RECIPE

3 things I kept in mind when creating this recipe for my husband:
1. Flavour has to be rich (he doesn't enjoy light cakes)
2. It has to be chocolate-y, as that's his favourite dessert flavour
3. Spam bananas, because he loves bananas!

Banana~

The end result is a rich chocolate cheesecake mixed with fresh bananas, topped with dark chocolate ganache. And... it passed my husband's test because he said he loves it! (or maybe he just doesn't want to hurt my feelings ♥)

CHOCOLATE BANANA CHEESECAKE RECIPE

I must admit, our taste buds are starting to become quite similar. Before we dated, my preference for desserts skewed towards Japanese-style, i.e. light, not-rich. In addition, I usually went for the fruity or vanilla flavours. Ever since we got together, I began to crave for rich, chocolate-y flavours. It's true that couples start to behave like each other (in our case, it's our stomachs that have synchronised haha).

Do try out this simple, no-bake cheesecake. Hope you enjoy this cake as much as we did!

9. Remove the cake pan from the fridge, and line the base with a sliced banana from 1. (Note: try to line the slices along the circumference of the base, and place the remaining in the middle)
10. Pour in the chocolate banana cheesecake mixture, smoothening out the top. Place in the fridge to cool.

[For Chocolate Ganache]
1. In a pot, heat the heavy cream till it simmers. Turn off the fire.
2. Pour in the dark chocolate chips, and leave for a minute. Stir till completely melted.
3. Let it cool to room temperature before pouring over the cheesecake. Smooth the surface.

[For Decoration]
1. Sprinkle the granola along the circumference of the cake using a teaspoon.
2. Place the sliced bananas on top of the granola.
3. Chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours before serving. Enjoy!

  2. Hi! For the decoration, you can use dried bananas. However, I will still recommend using fresh bananas :)
