This Flourless Chocolate Cake is rich, smooth and easy to make. It's a great cake to bake if you are looking for something simple yet delicious. Plus, it only requires 5 key ingredients!

I've baked this low-carb cake multiple times for friends and family, and to satisfy those chocolate-cravings 😋What I love about it is the mousse-like smoothness that carries a bit of firmness, so it's not too "soft" and light. 

Decorating this cake is also super simple, simply dust some cocoa powder on the top. Of course, this is optional, and you can always serve the cake without the cocoa powder. 😊

The benefit of this flourless cake is that there is not flour substitute like potato or corn starch that are added texture, but might be higher in calorific value. You can also reduce this recipe in half if you are making it for just a few pax. Highly recommended, especially for chocolate lovers! 

FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE 
(5 Ingredients Cake)

Equipment
8 inch springform pan
*You can also use a smaller cake pan, which will give you a taller cake. Just increase baking time by a couple of minutes

Ingredients
200g of Unsalted Butter
400g of Dark Chocolate
20g of Caster Sugar
6 Eggs
140ml of Heavy Cream

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
2. In a heat-proof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter over a water bath. Stir till smooth.
3. Add the sugar, and mix well.
4. Beat the eggs and add into the mixture gradually, stirring well between each addition.
5. Stir in the heavy cream.
6. Pour the mixture into a lined cake pan and transfer to a baking tray. Tap gently on the counter top to remove air bubbles. Pour water in the baking tray to create a water bath. Bake for 20 minutes.
7. When it's cooled to room temperature, wrap the cake in the mould with cling wrap, and refrigerate overnight.
8.  Gently remove the cake and dust with cocoa powder. I decorated the cake with some macarons, but it is totally optional if you choose to leave it out ☺️ Cut the cake with a sharp, warm knife. Enjoy!

Hi! It's been quite some time since I've posted a cooking recipe, and thus I'm excited to share this Low Carb Chicken Wrap Recipe, decorated like Totoro. 

It's really easy to prepare this recipe, and it's a low-carb alternative to eating tortilla/burrito wraps. I made it some time back for my husband, and he enjoyed it as much as I did (though he really doesn't care what his food looks like, and thus didn't comment on the Totoro design 😂)

LOW CARB CHICKEN WRAP RECIPE

Servings
2 x Totoro Wraps (cut in half)

Ingredients
4 Eggs
Pinch of Salt and Pepper
1 tsp of Butter

50g of Stir Fried Chicken
(Cooked according to your preference)

3 Sheets of Japanese Seaweed (Nori)
2 Handfuls of Salad Greens (Washed and Dried)

[For Totoro Design]
1 Slice of Sliced Cheese
1.5 tbsp of Japanese Mayonnaise
1 Sheet of Japanese Seaweed (Nori)
2 Tiny Salad Leaves

Directions
1. Beat the eggs, salt and pepper in a bowl.
2. Heat butter in a saucepan until hot, and tilt to coat the pan with butter. (I used a rectangular one that is typically used to prepare tamagoyaki)
3. Pour in the beaten egg mixture.  Gently push the cooked portions from edges toward the center with spatula. When top surface of eggs is thickened and no visible liquid egg remains, flip the omelette over. Cook for awhile and set it aside on a plate.
4.  Prepare the wrap. Lay a piece of seaweed on a board. Place the omelette on top, and add the salad greens and stir fried chicken.
5. Start rolling the wrap from one end, and use a second sheet of Nori to cover the wrap entirely. Cut a third sheet of Nori in half, and use them to cover the ends of the wrap.
6. Wrap 5 with cling wrap and set it aside for 10 minutes.
7. Meanwhile, prepare the decor for each Totoro wrap.
    - For Eyes: Cut out 2 circles of cheese, and 2 smaller circles of Nori for the eyeballs
    - For Nose: Cut a small oval of cheese
    - For Whiskers: Cut out 4 long, rectangular pieces of cheese
    - For Ears: Cut 2 triangular pieces
    - For Belly: Cut 5 triangular-outlines for the details on Totoro's belly
8. Slice the wrap in half and gently remove the cling wrap. Follow the video to decorate it. like Totoro. Place a tiny salad leaf on Totoro's head for the finishing touches!
9. Enjoy!

LOW CARB LASAGNA RECIPE

Oven-safe baking dish
Serves 4

Ingredients
Small cube of butter
8 eggs

Small cube of butter
Half an onion
200g Brown mushrooms
200g Shimeji mushrooms
Pinch of salt and black pepper

250g of Minced beef (or pork/chicken)
Pinch of salt and black pepper

350g of Prego Roasted Garlic Parmesan Sauce

250g of Shredded Mozzarella cheese

Optional for decoration*
Nori (dried seaweed)
Lettuce and cherry tomatoes for garnish

Directions
1. Prepare omelettes. This will replace the lasagna sheets. In a bowl, beat the eggs. Add salt and pepper if desired. On medium fire, heat up a large non-stick frying pan and melt the butter to coat the surface. Pour eggs, and use the frying pan to slowly peel the edges of the omelette. When firm enough, gently flip it over. You should have 6 sheets of omelette. Set them aside.
2. Prepare stir-fried onions and mushrooms. Wash and slice the mushrooms. Slice the onion lengthwise and in halves. On medium fire, heat up a large non-stick frying pan and melt the butter to coat the surface. Stir fry the onions until they become translucent. Add the mushrooms. Season with salt & pepper. Continue stir frying till most of the water from mushrooms have evaporated. Set aside.
3. In the same pan from Step 2, stir fry the minced beef on medium heat, breaking it up with a spatula. Season with salt & pepper. Cook until the meat is just done. Then, add the Prego Roasted Garlic Parmesan Sauce, mushrooms and onions (from Step 2) to Step 3.
4. Assemble. While the oven is getting preheated to 180°C, line the baking dish with a layer of omelettes (leave 1 omelette for decoration). Then, layer with the minced beef mixture. Cover with mozzarella. Repeat the process. Cover the final layer with a generous amount of cheese. Bake for about 20 - 25 minutes, or until the cheese becomes golden brown.
5. To decorate like Gudetama, slice the remaining omelette into a semi circle for his head, and small ovals for the hands. Cut dried nori (seaweed) for the mouth and eyes. Garnish with lettuce and cherry tomatoes.
