Day 1: Drive from Melbourne to Apollo Bay
Accommodation of the night: Beachcomber Motel & Apartments

Our journey began on 5th August, where we departed Singapore at 1:20am, and landed in Melbourne at 10:40am (local time). Upon arrival, we picked up our rental car from Spendless Car Rentals. We paid about SGD $160 for 5 day rental. As we were starving after the flight, our first stop is none other than a restaurant for food!
1. Fishos Torquay
36 The Esplanade, Torquay VIC 3228, Australia
The place is famous for its Fish & Chips. We also loved the Calamari. Very fresh seafood and casual ambience - a good start for our trip!
2. Kennett River Koala Walk
We visited the Kennett River Koala Walk. Even though the sun was setting, we still managed to spot koalas!
3. Apollo Bay Information Centre
You can check out this centre for stuff to do as it is along the way!
4. The Bottle of Milk
52 Mountjoy Parade, Lorne VIC 3232, Australia

For dinner, we ordered a burger from The Bottle of Milk. Its owners, Brett Graham and Robert Lowther, opened the Bottle of Milk with the intention of bringing good quality hamburgers to Lorne - and they certainly did. The burger did not disappoint, and I wish I could go back to have that burger again!
Day 2: Drive from Apollo Bay to Port Campbell
Accommodation of the night: Twelve Apostles Motel & Country Retreat

1. Apollo Bay Bakery
After checking out, we had breakfast at Apollo Bay Bakery. They are famous for their pies! We tried the scallop pie, which was warm, buttery, and nice on a cold day.
2. Cape Otway Lightstation
Take a tour of the oldest surviving lighthouse in mainland Australia. Definitely climb up the lighthouse for a spectacular view. There are also some walks around the area, which provide a quiet retreat.
3. Twelve Apostles
A must-visit site when taking doing a road trip on Great Ocean Road is the Twelve Apostles. Even though it was quite crowded, the view did not disappoint. We descended down Gibson Steps to walk along the beach and enjoy the sunset.
Just a 15 minute drive away from our apartment, we dined at Karoa Restaurant and Bar. It is a quiet place, with good quality food. They served the best pulled pork we had on this trip!

Accommodation of the night: Discovery Parks - Warrnambool
1. Logans Beach Road
We visited Logans Beach in hopes of seeing whales, as we read that it is a popular spot for whale-watching. While we did not manage to see any whales, we did enjoy watching the surfers ride waves.
2. Maritime Village
"Both a living historical village that displays the life of a 19th century port and town, and holder of Victoria's largest maritime shipwreck collection, it occupies a beautiful site, tumbling down the bluff towards Lady Bay. You can explore the village area that has over 40 buildings and vessels spread over 10 hectares."
3. Rebecca's Cafe Port Fairy
70-72 Sackville St, Port Fairy, Victoria 3284, Australia
We stopped by for lunch at Rebecca's Cafe in Port Fairy. The food was descent and the cafe had a chill vibe, but we probably wouldn't go out of our way to visit again.
4. Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve
After a filling lunch, we thought it'd be a good idea to take a walk. Thus, we drove down to the Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve. There are numerous walks there, where you might get the chance to spot wildlife! Emus are particularly easy to spot haha.

The fifth day basically consisted of driving back to Melbourne to return our rental car. You can take the less-scenic route back as it is faster.
