5 Must Visit Food Places in Hanoi
1. The Hanoi Social Club
6 Hoi Vu | Hoan Kiem, Hanoi 84, Vietnam
At the top of my list is the Hanoi Social Club. It is a multi-level cafe located in Hanoi's Old Quarter with chill vintage vibes. We went there on a weekday night, and the place was quiet. We chose to seat on the lowest floor, as it felt the homeliest. Good ambience, food and cocktails = a great night.
2. The Farmer Gardenista
B40 Phố Nguyễn Thị Định, Nhân Chính, Thanh Xuân, Hà Nội, Vietnam
The Farmer Gardenista is a beautiful cafe that resembles a greenhouse with an indoor "garden" and lots of natural light. The tables feature miniature gardens with succulents the run along the middle of the table. We only tried the cake and chocolate banana shake - decent food in a beautiful instaworthy cafe.
3. Lutulata Desserts & Drinks
39 Hàng Cót, Hàng Mã, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội, Vietnam
For a dessert break, head to Lutulata. They serve Vietnamese che as well as other refreshing, cold desserts. There are many unique flavours to choose from, and we were spoilt for choice. Too bad we only have 2 stomachs! What I loved about this cafe is the outdoor balcony, where you can enjoy coffee and desserts while watching the hustle and bustle happening on the streets of Hanoi.
4. Kem Trang Tien Ice Cream
35, Trang Tin Street, Hanoi, Vietnam
Kem Trang Tien has been serving their ice cream since 1958! This unassuming place is a popular ice creamery among both locals and tourists alike. Visit this place for a taste of Hanoi's history.

5. Giang Cafe
No.39 Nguyen Huu Huan, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi 100000, Vietnam
Finally, visit Giang Cafe for their famous egg coffee (i.e. cà phê trúng). It contains a beaten egg yolk, which gives the coffee a creamy and rich texture. The thought of drinking a raw egg yolk is pretty scary, but I convinced myself that the heat from the coffee would partially cook the yolk (not sure if this is true, just trying to comfort myself haha). Even though I'm not a huge coffee drinker, I enjoyed the egg coffee. Recommended if you want to try something interesting and uniquely Vietnamese!
